Foundation for University Medicine Dresden
Our employees are deeply committed to supporting charitable causes and sustainability initiatives. An integral part of this commitment is our "Pro Tomorrow" initiative, through which a fixed amount is donated to a charitable cause for each day that guests choose to forgo daily room cleaning. What makes this initiative special is that our teams can actively help decide how the donations are used.
As part of this year's "ProTomorrow" initiative, we have once again been able to donate a portion of the funds raised. In 2026, a donation of 5,000 € was made to the "Christiane Herzog" University Cystic Fibrosis Centre and the Foundation for the Promotion of University Medicine in Dresden. The donation was officially presented to representatives of the foundation during a symbolic cheque handover to support important medical projects in the region.
At the end of October 2023, the team at Maritim Hotel Dresden had already supported the Dresden University Medicine Foundation with a donation of 5,000 €. At that time, the focus was on older people: the donation funded a special lighting concept for the University Centre for Healthy Ageing (UCGA), which simulates a natural day-night rhythm and helps patients with dementia in particular to maintain their sense of orientation.
