Neroberg and Neroberg railway

The Neroberg is the local mountain of Wiesbaden, the capital of Hesse, and is one of the most popular destinations. A special attraction is the Nerobergbahn, two small yellow and blue mountain railway cars that travel up and down the mountain at 7.3 kilometres per hour. Here, visitors can not only enjoy a beautiful view of Wiesbaden, but also experience the sophisticated technology from a bygone era up close.

Freudenberg Castle

Since 1993, Freudenberg Castle in the Dotzheim district has been a field of experience for the development of the senses and thinking. At over 100 stations, visitors are playfully introduced to natural phenomena such as balance, gravity, light and darkness, sound and resonance. Two of the highlights are the dark bar and dark corridors, an experience guests will not soon forget.

Casino Wiesbaden

The "Casino Wiesbaden" is one of Germany's oldest casinos. The casino has experienced numerous changes during the course of its history, but today, it resides in the former wine salon of the Kurhaus. In addition to roulette and American roulette, roulighth, black jack and poker are played.

Kochbrunnen at Kranzplatz

The Kochbrunnen, Wiesbaden's landmark, is a public drinking fountain in the city centre and Wiesbaden's most famous thermal spring of all. The name of the sodium chloride thermal spring, which was the focus of Wiesbaden's drinking cure in the 19th century, is based on its water temperature of 66 °C.

Hessisches State Museum of art and nature

The exhibits of the Wiesbaden Museum range from prehistory to the present day and are divided into the Old Masters Collection, Classical Modern Art, Modern and Contemporary Art and the Natural History Collections.

Tuesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. 
Wednesday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. 
Saturday, Sunday and public holidays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Aukammtal Thermal bath

In addition to the indoor and outdoor pools, which are open all year round, the Aukammtal thermal baths also have a well-maintained outdoor area with green spaces, a shower bath and several rest areas to relax and unwind. The water temperature of the thermal pools is around 32 degrees Celsius.

Opening hours:
Bathing area: Monday to Sunday from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Sauna area: Monday to Sunday from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Wiesbaden Pheasantry

The Pheasantry, run by the state capital Wiesbaden, has about 23 hectares of grounds in Wiesbaden's city forest in the north-west of the city.

Opening hours:
Summer daily from 9 am to 6 pm
Winter daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Neroberg Climbing Forest

The Neroberg Climbing Forest is located on the edge of the city forest, directly on Wiesbaden's Neroberg. With numerous courses and different levels of difficulty, there is something for everyone here. Even the youngest children can climb on the children's course from the age of 4, accompanied by an adult.

Closed Monday and Tuesday
Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 2 to 5.30 p.m.
Saturday, Sunday, bridge days and public holidays from 10 a.m. to 5.30 p.m.
Exception in March and November only open on Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m.

Sternschnuppenmarkt (Shooting Star Market)

21 November to 22 December 2023 

The Christmas market on Schlossplatz with its unusual lighting is known as the Shooting Star Market. In addition to numerous arts and crafts stalls and delicacies, the market offers a varied music programme on the stage in front of the town hall.
